TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’) constitute a legally binding agreement between you (‘Client,’ ‘you,’ or ‘your’)

and Salem Home Improvement LLC (‘Contractor,’ ‘we,’ ‘us,’ or ‘our’), a licensed New Jersey home improvement

contractor (License No. NJLIC 13VH09087300), governing your use of our website at salemhillc.com and any home

improvement or remodeling services we provide. Please read these Terms carefully.

1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By accessing our website, submitting a contact or estimate request form, signing a project proposal, or engaging our

services in any manner, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms

and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

2. SERVICES PROVIDED

Salem Home Improvement LLC provides licensed home improvement, remodeling, and renovation services in South

Jersey, including but not limited to:

• Bathroom Remodeling (full remodels, shower installation, tile, vanities, flooring, lighting)

• Kitchen Remodeling (cabinets, countertops, backsplash, flooring, lighting)

• Home Improvement Services (basement finishing, drywall installation, interior painting, door and trim installation)

Services are provided within Gloucester, Camden, and Burlington Counties, New Jersey. All services are performed

by licensed and insured professionals in accordance with New Jersey state law and applicable local building codes.

3. ESTIMATES & PROPOSALS

Free estimates are provided based on an on-site assessment of the project scope. Estimates are valid for 30 days

from the date of issuance. All estimates are subject to change based on unforeseen site conditions discovered during

construction, changes in material costs, or modifications requested by the Client.

A project does not commence until a written proposal has been signed by both parties and the required deposit has

been received. Verbal agreements are not binding.

4. PAYMENT TERMS

Deposit: A deposit (typically 30-50% of the total project cost) is required to secure your project start date and

purchase materials. The exact deposit amount will be stated in your signed proposal.

Progress Payments: For larger projects, progress payments may be required at agreed-upon milestones as

specified in the signed proposal.

Final Payment: The remaining balance is due upon substantial completion of the project and before final

walkthrough, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accepted Payment Methods: Cash, check, Zelle, or other methods agreed upon in writing. Credit card

payments may be subject to a processing fee.

Late Payments: Invoices unpaid beyond 10 business days of the due date may incur a late fee and may result

in work stoppage until payment is received.

Important: Per New Jersey law (N.J.S.A. 56:8-136 et seq.), contractors may not require a deposit exceeding

one-third (1/3) of the total contract price before commencing work.

5. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING

Clients may cancel or reschedule a project by providing written notice to Salem Home Improvement LLC. The

following cancellation terms apply:

Cancellation before work begins: Client is responsible for the cost of any materials already purchased and any

non-refundable subcontractor fees incurred.

Cancellation after work has begun: Client is responsible for all work completed to date, materials purchased,

and a reasonable mobilization fee.

Rescheduling: Rescheduling with more than 48 hours notice is generally accommodated at no charge, subject

to availability.

6. PERMITS & REGULATORY COMPLIANCE

Salem Home Improvement LLC is a licensed NJ contractor (NJLIC 13VH09087300) and carries all required liability

insurance. For projects requiring municipal building permits, we will advise the Client of permit requirements. Unless

otherwise agreed in writing, permit procurement and associated fees may be the responsibility of the Client. All work

will be performed in compliance with applicable building codes and NJ regulations.

7. WORKMANSHIP WARRANTY

Salem Home Improvement LLC warrants all workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of substantial

project completion. This warranty covers defects in workmanship resulting from our installation or construction. This

warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear or damage caused by misuse, neglect, or accidents.

• Defects in Client-supplied materials.

• Damage resulting from modifications made by others after project completion.

• Pre-existing conditions discovered after work begins.

• Acts of nature, flooding, or structural settling unrelated to our work.

Manufacturer warranties on products and materials are separate from our workmanship warranty and are passed

through to the Client to the extent permitted by the manufacturer

8. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Salem Home Improvement LLC’s total liability to the Client for

any claims arising from or related to services provided shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client under the

applicable project contract.

In no event shall Salem Home Improvement LLC be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or

punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, or emotional distress, even if we have been

advised of the possibility of such damages.

9. MATERIALS & SUBSTITUTIONS

All materials used will be as specified in the signed project proposal. In the event that a specified material becomes

unavailable due to supply chain issues, discontinuation, or other factors outside our control, we will notify the Client

and propose a comparable substitute of equal or greater value. Material substitutions require Client approval before

installation.

10. SITE ACCESS & SAFETY

Client agrees to provide Salem Home Improvement LLC with reasonable access to the project site during

agreed-upon working hours (typically Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 9am-3pm). Client is responsible for:

• Clearing personal belongings, furniture, and valuables from the work area prior to commencement.

• Ensuring pets and children are kept away from the active work zone for their safety.

• Providing access to water and electrical utilities as needed for construction.

• Notifying us of any known hazardous materials (asbestos, lead paint, etc.) in the work area.

11. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on salemhillc.com, including text, images, graphics, logos, and design elements, is the property of Salem

Home Improvement LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You

may not reproduce, distribute, or use any content from our website without prior written permission.

Salem Home Improvement LLC reserves the right to photograph completed projects and use those images for

marketing, social media, and portfolio purposes. If you wish to opt out of project photography, please notify us in

writing before project commencement.

12. DISPUTE RESOLUTION

In the event of a dispute arising from or related to services provided by Salem Home Improvement LLC, the parties

agree to first attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation is unsuccessful within 30 days, the

parties agree to pursue mediation before initiating any legal action.

Complaints about licensed NJ contractors may also be filed with the New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs, Home

Improvement Contractor Registration program at: www.njconsumeraffairs.gov or (973) 504-6370.

13. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New

Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any legal proceedings shall be conducted in Gloucester

County, New Jersey.

14. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

Salem Home Improvement LLC reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted

on salemhillc.com with a revised effective date. Your continued use of our website or services after the posting of

changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
