Bathtub to Shower Conversion NJ

If you have a bathtub you haven’t used in years, you’re wasting some of the most valuable square footage in your home.

A bathtub-to-shower conversion turns that unused tub into a walk-in shower you’ll actually use every day and it’s one of the highest-ROI bathroom upgrades you can make. Salem Home Improvement handles tub-to-shower conversions throughout Glassboro and South Jersey. We manage the entire process: tub removal, plumbing, waterproofing, custom tile, and glass enclosure  start to finish.

Is a Tub-to-Shower Conversion Right for You?

A tub-to-shower conversion makes sense if:

Note: If you have young children or plan to sell within 2 years, keep at least one tub in the home most buyers with kids expect one

What's Included in Our Tub-to-Shower Conversion

Tub Removal & Plumbing

We disconnect and remove the existing tub, including the tub drain and any surrounding tile or surround panels. We reconfigure the drain location if your new shower requires it and update the plumbing valves to a modern pressure-balancing or thermostatic shower valve.

Waterproofing

Every shower floor and wall gets a full waterproofing membrane before tile goes down. We use Schluter KERDI or RedGard systems the same waterproofing used by professional tile setters. This is non-negotiable. A shower built without proper waterproofing will leak into your subfloor and walls within a few years.

Custom Tile Installation

You choose the tile. We install it. Porcelain, ceramic, natural stone, large-format, subway whatever fits your style and budget. We also install built-in niches, bench seats, and decorative accent bands if desired.

Glass Enclosure or Curtain Rod

We finish the conversion with a frameless glass door, semi-frameless enclosure, or a simple ceiling-mounted curtain rod depending on your preference and budget.
