LVP is our most installed kitchen flooring material and for good reason. It's 100% waterproof, extremely durable, comfortable underfoot (much warmer than tile), and available in realistic wood and stone looks that are virtually indistinguishable from the real thing. It's also the most cost-effective option. Brands we install: COREtec, LifeProof (Home Depot), Shaw Floorté.
Tile is the most durable kitchen floor option virtually indestructible and completely waterproof. Large-format tile (18x18, 24x24) with minimal grout lines is the easiest to maintain. Porcelain is denser and more durable than ceramic for kitchen applications. Downside: harder underfoot and colder than LVP.
Solid or engineered hardwood adds warmth and value to a kitchen. Engineered hardwood (plywood core with a real wood veneer) handles humidity better than solid hardwood and is the right choice for kitchens. Requires more maintenance than tile or LVP and is not 100% waterproof clean spills promptly. Best for kitchens adjacent to living areas where continuity of flooring matters.
Every flooring installation starts with subfloor assessment. We check for:
High/low spots are ground down or leveled with floor leveler compound
Soft, bouncy, or damaged subfloor panels are replaced
We install transition strips at doorways where flooring heights change
